Some rewards in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are currently not working properly: 4 new weapon blueprints are faulty. The developers have already noticed the issue and promise a fix soon.
This is currently broken: It concerns certain weapon blueprints that you can earn in Modern Warfare for challenges. Specifically, it is about:
- Old Wounds – blueprint for the M91, reward from “Weapon Smith Expert”
- Soft Dominator – blueprint for the FAL, reward from “Engineer”
- Heat Cycle – blueprint for the MP5, reward from “Run and Gun”
- Frosty Jack – blueprint for the FN Scar 17, reward for “Survivor”
Soft Dominator and Heat Cycle were introduced in the new Season 1.
Frosty Jack is a reward for a challenge in the PS4-exclusive mode “Survival.”
How are they bugged? The blueprints are actually intended to modify weapons. They equip the base weapon with attachments, even if these are not yet unlocked. Additionally, they give the weapon a unique appearance, so a special skin.
However, this appearance is currently not working. When players equip the weapons, they appear in the matches as upgraded models, but in the standard coating.
Developers are working on a fix
This is what the devs say: In several threads on reddit, the developers have already responded. They state that at least partially a fix is already in progress:
We will have a fix for the variants Heat Cycle, Old Wounds, and Frosty Jack in our next update.

They have not yet specified when exactly the next update will be released. However, Modern Warfare has received weekly updates in the past weeks, sometimes even multiple updates in a week – like the recent Update 1.10 and a few days later the Update 1.11.
An update before the weekend of December 6th is unlikely, but it could well appear at the beginning of the next week on December 9th.
