On Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (PC, PS4, Xbox One) an the evening of Monday, November 25th, an update was deployed to the servers. However, a larger download is not necessary. We look at the patch notes. The update changes the Gun Game and Spec Ops modes, and also closes several exploits.
When did the update come? It arrived on Monday evening around 8 PM. It is not a major update. Infinity Ward posted the patch notes on reddit.
What does the update bring in terms of new things? There are 4 points in the patch notes for CoD Modern Warfare:
- It now allows up to 4-player groups in the Gun Game
- “FFA” (Free for all) has been included in the filter menu
- Infinity Ward fixed how players can join ongoing FFA games to prevent them from landing in games that are already far along
- And they have turned off the spawn cameras for Headquarters and Hardpoint

What fixes are included? In addition to these changes, 6 bug fixes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have been listed.
Among other things, it is said that the “Special Operations” underwent a “minor adjustment of difficulty”. Additionally, the update fixes some bugs with perks and laser sights.
And Infinity Ward has apparently closed some exploits that allowed players to act from outside the map or to boost themselves in CoD Modern Warfare.

Players welcome small changes, want big ones
What are the reactions? The patch is already being discussed on reddit. The change with the spawn cameras is welcomed. They had been too powerful.
Additionally, one player hopes that the change in difficulty for Spec Ops makes the game easier now. Another player praises that you can now participate in Gun Game as a group.
However, voices are rising that Infinity Ward should address the larger issues in the game. Many are calling for Infinity Ward to remove the controversial “skill-based matchmaking”.
