The .357 Magnum from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a popular handgun among players. However, two fans have found that it has significant issues with headshots.
What is the Magnum? This is a handgun that has few bullets in the magazine and a longer reload time, but it has great penetration power. Even at medium range, it can often be lethal.
Where is the problem? When using this weapon for headshots, there are issues with the hitbox. When hitting the upper head, it should normally take out the opponent, but often that doesn’t happen.
This has now been proven by two players who shot each other in the head without dying. It seemed that the shots went past, even though the head was clearly hit.

They played in a private lobby and aimed mutually with the Magnum at the head of the opponent. Especially when aiming at the upper part of the head, they were not eliminated.
Sometimes entire magazines were fired without landing an actual hit. For their proof video, the two players used several attempts to make it clear that this was not just a one-time issue.
What do other players say about it? On reddit, the two players are receiving a lot of support. Fellow players have said things like “I knew it” and now seem to have proof of their suspicions.
So, anyone who has always wondered why their actual headshot didn’t count may now have the answer.
Are other weapons affected? Although other players mention further weapons affected by these issues below the clip, there is no confirmation of that.
The video creators claim they have only found these inconsistencies with the Magnum.
