In the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a combat scene has accidentally emerged that could easily come from a Hollywood action movie. Thousands of players are celebrating the clip.
What is the clip about? The players of CoD: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone often put on spectacular performances and like to capture these in clips.
Whether helicopter pilots trying to be grill masters or knife throwing skills that are unmatched – the creativity on display knows hardly any limits.
Now, a fresh clip is causing excitement within the community. Reddit user ghaupt1 managed to capture a spectacular combat moment that one would more commonly see in John Wick movies or the Bourne series.
What exactly does the clip show? A player, who is playing as Ghost, catches another inattentive player from behind and initiates an execution – a Finishing Move.
As Ghost spectacularly takes down his opponent, he is also surprised from behind by a finisher, leading to another combat sequence. However, he unexpectedly and impressively manages to win this one as well. But see for yourself:
What is so special about it? Many wondered how the scene could even occur in this manner. Apparently, it is a thick coincidence, as well as possibly a bug. Initially, the player in the Ghost skin starts a finisher, but is interrupted by an enemy finisher just before his animation finishes.
During the execution performed by the female operator, it apparently belongs to the animation that the victim, in this case Ghost, initially resists. This creates the further combat sequence in the clip.
Eventually, Ghost or something else interrupts the animation of the second finisher and takes out the female operator with a shot from his weapon.
The special part: Although all of this happens completely by chance, it flows so seamlessly and smoothly into each other that it almost looks like a scripted combat scene from an action movie. The fact that chance and possibly also errors play a significant role is absolutely not visible.
This is what other players are saying: In the community, the short video is being heavily celebrated. Within just 10 hours, the post on reddit received over 10,000 upvotes, players love this clip.
The scene seems as if it is directly from a movie. “Oh my God, that is Jason Bourne,” can be read from several users referencing comparable scenes that are characteristic of the Bourne series. Or also “Baba Yaga” as a reference to John Wick.
Some also think the clip would be perfect as material for cut-scenes. And almost everyone agrees: It is an absolute masterpiece.
