The image of the great shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has quite suffered among some fans in the first weeks after release. Now the developers are trying to find out where the game stands with players through a survey, revealing their own biggest worries in the process.
How is the current CoD doing? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been delighting players for 6 weeks now with fast-paced multiplayer action, continuously adding new content for all players.
Recently, Season 1 started including a new Battle Pass.
However, not all CoD soldiers are satisfied with the game and some have even stopped playing. Through a survey, the developers now want to find out why players have stopped and also reveal some of their own concerns.

Activision Survey on CoD: Modern Warfare reaches far
What kind of survey is this? Selected players by Activision received an email in the past few days asking if they would like to participate in a survey about Modern Warfare.
The questions revolve around topics such as:
- The new content
- Previous update service
- Played content (like multiplayer, campaign, Ground War, etc.)
- Weapon balancing
- Map design
- Team balancing
- Time to find a lobby
- Challenges
- and much more
How the players were selected is unclear. However, at least one of the questions is quite specifically aimed at players who do not return to the CoD battlefields as regularly.

Questions about matchmaking and balancing
What does this return question look like? “What, if anything, would convince you to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) again?”
And the answers? The responses to this question read like a big wish list from the CoD community. The developers also addressed some player concerns for the first time that have gone unnoticed or unaddressed publicly in recent weeks.
- Difficulty setting for Spec-Ops
- Match balancing/making issues
- Map voting feature
- Cross-platform balancing
- New maps
- Weapon balance
- Spawn system issues

Most of the other questions revolve around new content or technical problems that have arisen in the first weeks.
Developers review what needs an update the most
What does this say about the developers’ work? This survey reveals that these points are indeed on the agenda for improvements and that the priorities of the community will be assessed.
Here, things like match balance are listed as an “issue,” meaning a problem. In particular, matchmaking is facing a lot of criticism, but the responsible parties have not wanted to talk about it so far.

Will everything change now? The developers reveal their biggest concerns and try to find out what the community’s priorities are.
The developers recently responded to the strong urging of many players to quickly bring back the mode “Shoot House 24/7”. However, not all CoD soldiers use social media or actively participate in discussions on Twitter or reddit.
If the surveys show, however, that the issues raised are indeed shared by a large portion of the community, changes on the listed points could well be possible in the near future.
What are the most urgent issues in the game for you, or are you satisfied with Modern Warfare? Do you think the developers will change matchmaking and break their silence?
