Due to a leak in the PlayStation Store, details about the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered have been revealed. Here you can find all the info, as well as the trailer.
What happened? The shop page for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered seems to have gone live a bit too early in the PlayStation Store. As a result, we now have all the important information, as well as the trailer for you. This confirms the leaks that suggested a close release date just the day before yesterday.
Update April 1: The MW2 Campaign is now available in various platform shops, but for many it is only available for pre-order. PlayStation players can start right away, but everyone else has to wait until April 30.
When is MW2 coming out? According to the page in the PlayStation Store, which is now no longer accessible, the revamped campaign is set to release today, March 31. The trailer has already been uploaded to YouTube:
How much does the expansion cost and what’s included? The store listed a price of €24.99. For this, you get the reworked version of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign from 2009. The entire story has been elevated to current technical standards and offers fans and newcomers an exciting narrative in full CoD style.
Additionally, there are some cosmetic bonuses that you can use in Warzone and the regular multiplayer of Modern Warfare:
- UDT Ghost Skin
- 2 Weapon Blueprints
- Talisman
- Ghost Execution
- Ghost Insignia
- Animated Calling Card
- Emblem
- 2 Levels of the Battle Pass
Some players will be particularly pleased with the UDT Ghost Skin. It resembles the original more than the current Ghost Skin and is a wish of many players. Ghost was introduced as a character (Operator) with the Battle Pass of Season 2 in Modern Warfare 2019.
Do I need Modern Warfare to play? No, the campaign comes as a stand-alone, and you don’t necessarily need the full game files of the standard MW on your drive.
