What’s happening in Cold War? Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now launching its second season and bringing important content into the game. Among other things, the new game mode “Outbreak” comes to the shooter. This is a massive zombie mode that you can play in various variants.
During a test week, you can now try CoD Cold War and the new zombie mode.
But there is more information about zombies. The PvE mode is popular among many players. So popular, in fact, that there might be work on a standalone title. But where is the information from, and what is behind it?
Play CoD Zombies as Standalone?
This is what the leak says: The Twitter user and CoD leaker Tom Henderson writes in a tweet that another project on zombies in Call of Duty is being developed. This is currently in the initial stages of development. The special thing is that this project is not currently tied to any title. So far, it is not a mode for an already existing game.
That the mode is not tied to any game suggests that it could be a standalone. So a Call of Duty with zombies that you can purchase without having to buy another game.
When more information will be available is still unclear. As the project is allegedly still in the early phases of development, such a standalone title could still be far off.
