What’s currently happening in Call of Duty? Today, on December 16th, is an important day for Call of Duty. With the start of Season 1, the new CoD Cold War is truly beginning for many. Additionally, with the launch of the first joint season, it will finally be completely integrated into Warzone. The Battle Royale itself will also receive numerous changes and new content – including the new map Rebirth Island.
In this context, 2 new weapons will also enter the game, which you can start unlocking and then use in Black Ops Cold War as well as in Warzone. But how do you get them?
How to unlock the 2 new weapons from the Season 1 Battle Pass
A total of five new weapons will be added to Cold War and Warzone during Season 1 – two of them right from the start. However, they need to be unlocked first.
These are the two new weapons: Right at the start of the first season, the following weapons will be available through the new Season 1 Battle Pass:
- the MAC 10, a submachine gun
- and the Groza, an assault rifle
Both are available through the free reward branch, meaning they can be completely unlocked and obtained for free by everyone. The weapons are also relatively easy to unlock, although it still requires some effort and time.
How to get the MAC 10: To unlock this new submachine gun, you basically only need to do one thing – play.
Because you unlock the weapon without any special challenges or tasks at level 15 in the Battle Pass. You just need to diligently collect XP and level up the Battle Pass. Even players with little time should easily achieve this goal during the season.
How to get the Groza: The situation with the Groza is similar – only that you need to play a bit more to get this weapon. This assault rifle will be unlocked at Tier 30 (Level 30). However, even with moderate but regular play, this should be achievable during the new season for almost everyone.
Here’s how to do it faster: You can also obtain the two new firearms in a less time-consuming way, but it will cost you.
This option involves getting the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,400 CoD Points. This includes 20 tier skips, which allow you to jump 20 levels, and with that, you can essentially secure the MAC 10 right away.
Then, you only have 10 more tiers to reach the Groza at Tier 30. You can also purchase this if desired. One tier skip costs 150 CoD Points, which is equivalent to €1.50. So, for those who find their time too precious or too tight and are willing to spend money for it, they can also buy immediate access to both weapons. Whether it is actually worthwhile and truly worth it – that’s something everyone has to decide for themselves.
