Call of Duty revealed the first trailer for the new Season 4 at the Summer Games Fest. It features new maps for Black Ops Cold War and a threat from orbit for Battle Royale Warzone. MeinMMO shows you the trailer and details.
What’s going on? Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War starts on June 17, and now the first trailer is online. The trailer showcases images of the new maps for the multiplayer in Cold War and hints at a significant map change for Warzone.

What can we see in the trailer? The gameplay trailer shows information about Warzone, the multiplayer, and the zombie mode in one minute. It features 3 new maps for Cold War, a nail gun as a weapon, motorcycles, and fresh locations for Warzone.
Additionally, there was a hint at a new map for the zombie mode Outbreak and possibly even a preview of the next significant survival map. During the stream, there was also brief mention of a “Hijacked Gulag” outside of the trailer.
Multiplayer maps for Cold War
- Collateral – 6vs6 / 12vs12: Large desert map, apparently with buildings
- Amsterdam – 2vs2: Small city map
- Hijacked – 6vs6: Classic from Black Ops 2 on a large yacht
Content Zombie mode
- Hint at a map with a zoo for Outbreak
- Zombie in a subway tunnel as a possible teaser for a Berlin map
Content Warzone
- Satellite crashes change the map
- Motorcycles as new vehicles
- Possible new Gulag in the style of the Hijacked map
The trailer also continues the story of Call of Duty. A new, currently nameless operator with a red mask will likely be the “poster boy” at the start of Season 4. The villain forces a man to drop American satellites over Verdansk. The purpose of this is unclear. However, it changes the map, and the trailer features two locations that were marked by the satellite impacts.
When is all this coming? It is not yet certain whether all the content from the trailer will come directly at the start of the season. This will likely only be clarified when the roadmap for the new season goes online. Season 4 starts on Thursday, June 17.
The short trailer has already shown quite a lot and gives a good impression of Season 4. With Season 3, Call of Duty especially made a splash in the Battle Royale Warzone, and it will be exciting to see if the developers want to maintain that pace.
