The next major update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is coming to the servers soon. In a roadmap, the developers are now presenting the new features that you can expect in the shooter in Part 2 of Season 3. This includes new maps, game modes, and legendary action heroes from the 80s!
What’s coming soon in Cold War? Fans of the shooters CoD Cold War and Warzone can rejoice, as the developers are planning loads of new content for Season 3. The following new features are coming soon with Season 3 – Reloaded.
For Warzone, there will be:
- The 80s action heroes John McClane and Rambo will come as operators
- The new locations Nakatomi Plaza, CIA Outpost, and Survival Camp are coming to Verdansk
- A limited-time game mode called Power Grab
- Rambo’s bow as a new killstreak
- New weapon ‘Ballistic Knife’
This is what’s coming for the multiplayer mode of Cold War:
- Two new maps: Standoff (6vs6) and Duga (Multi-Team)
- New game modes: Die Hardpoint, Multi-Team Elimination, and Rambo’s Gun Game
This is what’s coming for Zombies:
- New main quest
- New world event in the Ural Mountains
- New game mode ‘Cranked 2: No Time to Crank’
Additionally, two new weapons are coming for multiplayer, zombies, and Warzone: a brutal baseball bat and the AMP63 pistol.
These are the highlights of the Season 3 Reloaded update
As with every new season, the new weapons are among the highlights. Here, there are two new models:
This is what the baseball bat is about: The baseball bat is equipped with extra metal edges and is a brutal melee weapon. You will get the bat right at the start of Mid-Season 3 on May 20, 2021.
This is the AMP63 pistol: This handgun is a fully automatic pistol that fires its rounds very quickly. You will get it throughout the season.

Both weapons can be obtained through specific challenges in the game. Or you can buy a bundle with the blueprints in the shop. Let’s just hope that the weapon doesn’t become as OP as the recently nerfed Sykov.
These are the new game modes: In the multiplayer mode, there will be the Die Hardpoint mode at launch and Rambo’s Gun Game in the second week after May 20th. The Die Hardpoint is a variant of the regular Hardpoint mode with a cheeky twist.
When you capture a Hardpoint, a 30-second timer starts. It makes you faster, but when the timer hits zero, your avatar explodes. Only through capturing more Hardpoints and actions like kills can you extend the timer and postpone your death.
Rambo’s Gun Game, on the other hand, is a variant of the regular Gun Game with additional weapons, such as the Combat Bow, the War Machine, the RPG-7, and the Death Machine.
Lastly, there’s the Multi-Team Elimination mode. This is basically a mini-battle royale mode in the regular multiplayer of Cold War.
Here, 10 squads of 4 fight for the final victory, and the play area will get smaller over time.
These are the new maps in multiplayer: With Standoff and Duga, two new maps are coming to the game. Some fans might still remember Standoff from Black Ops II. Duga, on the other hand, is a map from the Ural Mountains that was last seen in Zombies and is now coming to the multiplayer mode.
These locations in Warzone are particularly interesting: Among the new locations in Warzone, the new Nakatomi Plaza is definitely worth a visit. It originates from the action classic Die Hard and is particularly attractive for 80s action fans. Especially since the location will only be in the game for a short time.
It replaces the broadcast tower and is slightly larger than the other buildings in Warzone. There are also additional missions and challenges as well as the notorious vault that you can crack for the first time.
To tackle the Nakatomi Plaza better, you should assemble the ultimate gear in Call of Duty Warzone. But which loadouts and items are the best in the game in Season 3?
