All information from the CoD: Cold War multiplayer reveal
This is shown in the trailer: The new trailer featured several locations of the multiplayer in the new CoD. The gameplay is from the PS5 version of the game.
The trailer starts with a mission that sends the team to Miami. There was immediately plenty of action, including the use of ziplines and the taking down of a submarine.

Then it continued to Angola, Uzbekistan, and the Ural Mountains. The multiplayer will send players across the course of history. So far, the following maps have been introduced:
- Armada: The map takes place in the North Atlantic and leads you over ships and gun boats.
- Crossroads: The map takes you to Uzbekistan. Tanks and snowmobiles will be in use here.
- Miami: Fight your way through the neon-lit streets of Ocean Drive.
- Moscow: Here, a Spetsnaz team meets a CIA team amidst street battles.
- Satellite: Here you fight in the heart of Central Africa, in the Angolan desert.
However, these five maps are just a selection of many maps that are expected to be available at launch.
The battles will be conducted on land, in the air, and at sea. During the reveal event, the developers emphasized the different approaches using the Miami level. You can attack head-on or sneak through the shadows. You can also dive into the water and shift the fight to another part of the map.
These modes are included in CoD: Black Ops Cold War
The developers promised revamped versions of popular modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search & Destroy, Kill Confirmed, and Control. Additionally, there will be new modes:
VIP Escort: This is a 6v6 mode. A random player will be designated as the VIP – and must now be protected or hunted depending on the team. The VIP has only a pistol, a smoke grenade, and a UAV at their disposal. The protection team tries to get the VIP out of the zone while the other team tries to take them out. This mode had already appeared in a previous leak.
Combined Arms: This is a 12v12 affair. Here, infantry soldiers and vehicles will be in use. Depending on the map, this can include tanks, speedboats, snowmobiles, or helicopters.
Fireteam: In “Fireteam”, up to ten four-player teams compete against each other. The environment is expected to play an important role here – further information should be available closer to the release.

What else is important?
What will be important for CoD Cold War: In addition to the trailer, the maps, and the modes, further information on the multiplayer of CoD Black Ops Cold War has been presented. This includes:
- Gunsmith – The gunsmith from Modern Warfare returns in Cold War as well. You can modify your weapons again with up to 5 attachments. The loadouts can be assembled similar to Modern Warfare.
- Wildcard – With the wildcards known from the Black Ops series, an extra perk is introduced that improves your entire loadout (for example, allows you to carry more equipment).
- Warzone – The developers elaborated on the progress that the Warzone and Cold War share. You can carry all progress from Warzone into the Black Ops multiplayer.
- The multiplayer offers cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-generation. In theory, five players can play together across completely different platforms.
- The classic mini-map from earlier CoD titles returns.
- The score streaks return in Cold War. The points collected remain after death and can provide players with quality gear for the fight.
The current trailer is likely to further fuel the discussions about CoD: Black Ops Cold War. Among other things, streamer Dr Disrespect spoke about the game and speculated that it could be the best CoD of all time.
