- And a Warzone update on December 16 at 8:00 AM
This will bring all the necessary content for the new season into the game. Update 1.08 for Cold War is now live and MeinMMO shows you the known patch notes.
Update December 16: The season is live and brings new content and comprehensive changes. Here are the details & patch notes for Season 1.

Update 1.08 from December 15 – Treyarch tweets content
When will Update 1.08 be available? The new update is already live and you can download it.
How large is Update 1.08? According to the statement from developer Treyarch on Twitter, the size depends on your platform:
- Download size from 3.4 GB to 7.1 GB
When we from MeinMMO downloaded the update this morning on the PS5, the download was just under 7 GB.
What did Update 1.08 bring? Unlike previous larger updates, the developers did not release a blog post with the patch notes this time, but provided information about it on Twitter:
- Weapon adjustments for various classes – Including tactical rifles
- Perk adjustments – Including adjustments for the strong “Flak Jacket”
- Playlist update
- Improvements to spawns
- Zombie fixes & updates – Including the 2-player split screen
- PC stability updates
- and more
First weapon adjustments are known
Some content creators who deal a lot with weapons and their values in Cold War have identified the first value changes. For example, YouTuber “JGOD” showed a list of adjustments on Twitter:
- FFAR – Less recoil, higher range
- Milano – Slightly higher range
- KSP – Slightly higher range
- AUG – Damage slightly reduced
- Gallo 12 – Fire rate is lower
- M82 – Less recoil, faster aiming
Additionally, it looks like the “sprint to shoot” speed of all submachine guns has been adjusted. The value in Gunsmith is now 350 ms for all SMGs.
Whether that is true remains to be seen. Because the “sprint-out-time” was one of the values in Gunsmith that did not match the values in the match. However, the developers have already announced that the Gunsmith will continue to be improved to align the values with the actual results during matches.
Season 1 is on the starting blocks
With the new patch, the content for Season 1 is in the game and waiting for its release by Call of Duty: Warzone on December 16. With the upcoming update, the two CoD titles will merge and Modern Warfare from 2019 will also be part of the alliance.
The first season brings a lot of new content to Cold War & Warzone and brings 3 CoDs closer together. You can level your rank and the Battle Pass in all 3 games and even rank up in the big prestige system of Cold War – even if you play Modern Warfare.
