CoD Cold War: How to get the rarest weapon skins in multiplayer – Here’s what you need to do

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War offers weapon skins for your weapons again, including the coveted Gold, Diamond, and DM-Ultra Camos. However, you need to complete challenges and grind quite a bit. We explain what you need to do in multiplayer mode to unlock skins for your weapons.

What are Camos? In CoD games, Camos refers to skins and camouflage for your weapons. To hold something other than the factory version of the weapon in your hands, you will need to put in the effort and complete a series of challenges for each weapon class. In this article, we only cover the Camos from the multiplayer mode. The zombie mode has different Camos.

The tasks are the same for each weapon of a class, but you need to complete the challenges individually for each weapon. So focus first on your favorite weapons.

However, it is worth it, as this allows you to show your teammates how good you are and how much time you have invested in the game.

Currently, there are seven categories of weapon camos that indicate the pattern of the color. You unlock them one by one as you level up your weapon:

• Spray Paint: Available from the start
• Stripes: Weapon level 5
• Classic: Weapon level 10
• Geometric: Weapon level 20
• Flora: Weapon level 30
• Science: Weapon level 40
• Psychedelic: Weapon level 50

How do you get camos? Each weapon has 5 regular levels in each of the above-mentioned Camo categories. The requirements are below in the challenge descriptions.

How do you get Gold camo? If you have unlocked all 5 Camos in all 7 categories for a weapon (so 35 Camos), you will receive the coveted Gold skin for that weapon. MeinMMO shows you what challenges you need to master to obtain all 35 Camos.

All Challenges for Gold Camos for Assault Rifles

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the Assault Rifle category. The challenges are the same for all assault rifles, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray Paint: Get 300 eliminations
• Stripes: Get 100 headshots
• Classic: Get 20 times 5 kills with the weapon without dying in between
• Geometric: Get 50 long shots
• Flora: Use scorestreaks or field upgrades to blind, stun or detect 75 enemies.
• Science: Shoot 50 enemies who go into cover in front of you
• Psychedelic: Get 25 times 2 quick kills

All Challenges for Gold Camos for Launchers

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the Launcher category. The challenges are the same for all launchers, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray: Get 50 eliminations
• Spray Paint: Destroy 50 vehicles, scorestreaks or equipment
• Classic: Get 20 times 3 kills with the weapon without dying in between
• Geometric: Destroy 50 ground-based vehicles or scorestreaks
• Flora: Destroy 50 airborne vehicles or scorestreaks
• Science: Destroy 10 times 3 scorestreaks or vehicles in one game
• Psychedelic: Get 25 times 2 quick kills

All Challenges for Gold Camos for LMGs

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the Light Machine Gun category. The challenges are the same for all LMGs, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray Paint: Get 300 eliminations
• Stripes: Get 100 headshots
• Classic: Get 20 times 5 kills with the weapon without dying in between
• Geometric: Get 50 long shots
• Flora: Use scorestreaks or field upgrades to blind, stun or detect 75 enemies.
• Science: Shoot 50 enemies who go into cover in front of you
• Psychedelic: Get 25 times 2 quick kills

All Challenges for Gold Camos for Melee Weapons

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the melee weapons category. The challenges are the same for all melee weapons, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray Paint: Get 150 eliminations
• Stripes: Get 25 back attacks
• Classic: Get 25 finishing moves
• Geometric: Get 50 kills while injured
• Flora: Get 50 kills while sliding
• Science: Kill 50 disoriented enemies (flash, smoke, stuns)
• Psychedelic: Get 25 times 2 quick kills

All Challenges for Gold Camos for Pistols

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the pistol category. The challenges are the same for all pistols, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray Paint: Get 150 eliminations
• Stripes: Get 50 headshots
• Classic: Get 20 times 5 kills with the weapon without dying in between
• Geometric: Get 25 long shots
• Flora: Use scorestreaks or field upgrades to blind, stun or detect 25 enemies.
• Science: Shoot 50 enemies who go into cover in front of you
• Psychedelic: Get 25 times 2 quick kills

All Challenges for Gold Camos for Shotguns

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the shotgun category. The challenges are the same for all shotguns, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray Paint: Get 200 eliminations
• Stripes: Get 50 headshots
• Classic: Get 20 times 5 kills with the weapon without dying in between
• Geometric: Get 50 long shots
• Flora: Use scorestreaks or field upgrades to blind, stun or detect 75 enemies.
• Science: Shoot 75 enemies at core shooting range
• Psychedelic: Get 25 times 2 quick kills

All Challenges for Gold Camos for SMGs

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the SMG category. The challenges are the same for all submachine guns, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray Paint: Get 300 eliminations
• Stripes: Get 75 headshots
• Classic: Get 20 times 5 kills with the weapon without dying in between
• Geometric: Get 50 long shots
• Flora: Use scorestreaks or field upgrades to blind, stun or detect 75 enemies.
• Science: Shoot 75 enemies at core shooting range
• Psychedelic: Get 25 times 2 quick kills

All Challenges for Gold Camos for Sniper Rifles

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the Sniper Rifle category. The challenges are the same for all sniper rifles, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray Paint: Get 200 eliminations
• Stripes: Get 50 headshots
• Classic: Get 20 times 5 kills with the weapon without dying in between
• Geometric: Get 50 long shots
• Flora: Get 50 kills while holding your breath
• Science: Get 50 one-shot kills
• Psychedelic: Get 25 times 2 quick kills

All Challenges for Gold Camos for Tactical Rifles

With the following challenges, you will earn Gold Camo for weapons from the Tactical Rifle category. The challenges are the same for all tactical rifles, but you will need to complete them individually per weapon.

• Spray Paint: Get 300 eliminations

• Classic: Get 20 times 5 kills with the weapon without dying in between
• Geometric: Get 50 long shots
• Flora: Use scorestreaks or field upgrades to blind, stun or detect 75 enemies.

How to get the rare Diamond Camos

The coveted Diamond Camos are only available once you have grinded through ALL Gold Camos of a weapon class. Then you will receive the Diamond Camos for all weapons of that class. Here’s what it looks like in-game in the screenshot.

How to get the ultimate “Dark Matter” Ultra Camo

To get this Camo, you need to put in a lot of effort. You need all Diamond Camos to unlock DM-Ultra. For that, you will receive a cool dark camo with purple effects and unique animations. When you run around with this Camo, every enemy knows that you have spent a lot of time in CoD Black Ops.
