The upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has started a new giveaway where you can win hundreds of keys for the beta of the multiplayer mode. You just need to be active on Twitter, Discord, or Reddit.
How do I win the keys? There are three ways to participate in the giveaways:
- you visit the official subreddit of Cold War and comment on the linked post
- you follow @CODTracker and @trackernetwork on Twitter and retweet the official giveaway tweet
- you visit the official Discord and react to posts in the #beta-giveaway channel
On Discord alone, there are already 250 keys staggered to win. The first giveaway there ends on the morning of September 16 (Wednesday) at 5:58 AM with 25 keys. After that, there are additional keys every 12 hours, first 50, then 75, and finally another 100. The beta itself starts in October on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
So you have enough time to participate. However, the developers have not revealed how many keys will be raffled on Reddit and Twitter. Unlike the last giveaway, you do not have to watch a stream.
Keys for the multiplayer beta of Cold War
What can I test? In the beta, you will exclusively be able to test the recently revealed multiplayer mode of Cold War. It offers you various, some familiar game modes and a ton of new maps, one of which probably comes from a celebrated Blackout DLC.
From a previous leak about the multiplayer, some weapons and perks are already known, such as the Flak Jacket and Prowler as perks or the shotgun SPAS. More information about the multiplayer will likely be revealed in the coming weeks, at least by the beta.
Additionally, Cold War offers a unique new game mode for 40 players: Fireteam. It changes how you play CoD and sends you through huge maps that constantly change during a match.
When does Cold War release? The shooter itself releases on November 13, 2020, thus replacing Modern Warfare as the newest installment in the series. Only the Battle Royale will still remain active. The developers have already revealed that Warzone, Cold War, and Modern Warfare will share some content.
