With the new Season 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War brings the new Zombie mode Outbreak. Now you can try this and the Multiplayer for free on the weekend.
In CoD Cold War and Warzone, the second season will soon begin. On this occasion, a free test week has been announced, during which parts of Cold War will be playable for free.
What does Season 2 bring in terms of content? The new season expands CoD Cold War and Warzone and delivers plenty of new content such as a new Battle Pass, new weapons, maps, and new modes, including Outbreak, the new Zombie mode.
When can you play for free? From Thursday, February 25 to March 4, you can try the new, massive Outbreak mode and the regular Multiplayer of CoD Cold War for free. The mentioned areas of CoD Cold War will be playable for free on PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
This also coincides with the start of Season 2, which will also arrive on that day. During the weekend (February 26 – February 28), you will also receive double experience points and weapon experience points in all Multiplayer modes.
You can test the new modes of Outbreak
What is Outbreak? Outbreak is a massive Zombie mode with various variants. This will be released as part of Season 2.
Especially this mode should be interesting for many players. It brings four new variants to the game that differ from the usual modes.
You will have to fight against crazy Zombie Soviets armed with armor and flamethrowers, you can rig your vehicles with explosives and defend yourself against hordes of zombies. In our special on Outbreak, you can find out what these four modes are exactly.
What is included in the Multiplayer? Otherwise, the entire Multiplayer will also be available for this period. It offers an extensive selection of classic game modes like Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint. You can find out what modes are available in our guide.
PlayStation players can additionally test the Onslaught mode exclusively. In this mode, you also fight against zombies, but it is an experience for two players.
