In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War brings you the best weapon doesn’t help if you don’t hit anything. Therefore, YouTuber and CoD expert TheXclusiveAce has created an aim tutorial that will help you learn to aim better. How it works, you can find out here on MeinMMO.
What kind of training is this? As already shown in the training videos for aiming in multiplayer of Modern Warfare or Warzone, CoD expert and YouTuber TheXclusiveAce has now created an aim training for CoD Cold War as well. It’s mainly about:
- Improving your aim, including for headshots
- Movement
- Feeling for the weapon
The goal of the training is to train your reflexes so that aiming and reacting correctly becomes almost automatic, making you a better player.

Training for better aiming in CoD Cold War
These are the settings for the training: To train undisturbed, you should start a “Custom Game” in the multiplayer of CoD Cold War. Use the new map Nuketown ’84 in the “Free for All” mode. The map offers short paths and constant action.
Next, you should make the following settings in the options:
- Time limit: Unlimited
- Score limit: Unlimited
- Intro sequence: Off
- Timer before the game: 5 seconds
- Time before the round: Disabled
- Minimap: Constant
- Health: 150
Then set the maximum number of bots with the difficulty “Recruit” as opponents in “Bots and Players”. According to Ace, the bots are just targets and should not pose any danger or distract you from your training.
This weapon should you use: For this training, you can use any weapon, but Ace recommends a setup with the assault rifle Krig 6.
You can equip the weapon in your private game as you like. But be sure to take the “Fast Fire 50-Round Magazine” because you can shoot more and reload very quickly. Everything aims to maintain the “flow” and maximize the training effect. Also, take the perk “Looter’s” so you won’t run out of ammo.
How to train properly
Once the setup is ready, start the round and shoot bots until you have enough. To improve your aim, you should follow these tips:
- Always aim at chest height; recoil often leads to headshots
- Don’t wait for opponents; move and actively seek them out
- Don’t shoot wildly, even though it may be tempting with the stupid bots. Instead, focus on precise fire to quickly kill enemies.
Especially the last point shouldn’t be underestimated. Once you notice that you’re aiming poorly, take a step back and practice that again. Only then will the training effect be optimally achieved through constant repetition.
Further helpful tips for newcomers to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War concern the optimal loadout. To ensure that you start as a newcomer with a strong weapon and setup, we have put together a good loadout for beginners in the multiplayer of CoD Cold War. Together with the aiming guide here, you should rack up some decent kills.
