In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 a glitch has emerged that is ruining the fun for some players in multiplayer. The bug causes the character to “run” extremely fast across the map and is already being deliberately used in multiplayer matches.
After a bug, that drove many players crazy, and possible aimbots in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 there is now a speed glitch running rampant in multiplayer mode. Numerous fans are now reporting this on the discussion platform Reddit.

Speed Glitch grants high speed boost and leaves opponents desperate
How does this glitch occur? We will not provide a detailed guide here. It is quite possible that players may get banned for using it. The bug, however, is related to the Skulker perk.
What does this speed glitch do? Normally, this perk gives you a small speed boost while crouching or crawling. But through the glitch, this effect can be stacked and allows the player to zip across the map while crouching.
The movements are so quick that opponents in the multiplayer have little time to react. They are completely helpless. Hitting the attacker is practically impossible.
Since the discovery, there have been some players who are deliberately using the glitch to gain an advantage. This apparently works on all platforms and is very easy to reproduce.
What is the difference between a glitch and a hack? A glitch uses the mechanics built into the game by the developers in a way that does not align with the intended purpose of the feature. The results are usually trivial, but can sometimes lead to huge advantages like exploits. A hack manipulates game files and is thus an external interference.

This is how the community responds:
- In the Subreddit for Black Ops 4 the glitch is being discussed lively.
- Many are annoyed that there are quite a few bugs, glitches, and cheaters.
- Especially this glitch is driving many players up the wall.
- Even Adam ‘KiLLa’ Sloss, a former CoD world champion, has had to deal with such glitch users during a live stream.
This is how the developers respond: Treyarch has indicated that they are aware of the problem and are working on a solution. Therefore, the speed glitch should not ruin the fun in multiplayer for too long.
