What content does Call of Duty: Black Ops offer at release?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 does many things differently this year. The following content is available to players at launch:
Black Ops 4 does not offer a single-player campaign
For the first time in the history of Call of Duty, there is no traditional single-player campaign. However, even though the focus of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is clearly on multiplayer, there are also some contents for solo players:
- There will be missions that explore the individual Specialists in more detail. These missions can also be played solo.
- Some zombie modes can also be completed alone. Empty slots will be filled by AI partners.

At release, you will be able to choose from a total of 14 multiplayer maps in different modes. This includes brand-new maps and remakes of some fan favorites like Jungle, Firing Range, or Summit.

The classic multiplayer experience of Call of Duty is expanded in Black Ops 4 with the homegrown Battle Royale mode Blackout. In classic Battle Royale fashion, 100 players will battle on an ever-shrinking play area for survival, utilizing various weapons and equipment from the Call of Duty universe.

This is what the Zombie mode of Black Ops 4 offers
The zombie mode started nearly 10 years ago as an Easter egg and has since developed into one of the most popular modes in the Black Ops series. Players team up against waves of zombies with up to four players. Various characters and maps are available, all underscored by a wacky sci-fi story.
At launch, there are a total of three zombie maps available for all players:
- IX (Nine)
- Voyage of Despair
- Blood of the Dead

Calling Card: If you logged into the beta on any platform, you will receive a unique calling card. This could only be obtained through the beta and will be delivered at the launch of Black Ops 4 on October 12, 2018.
Unlock Token: If you managed to reach the maximum level in one or both betas, you will receive an unlock token at release. You can use this token to unlock any item in the class editor.
