8:33 PM: Changes will also occur regarding the engine. While the same basic technology from Modern Warfare is being used, it has been modified to better capture the style of the 80s.
8:20 PM: The trailer suggests an exciting story in the campaign. Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson are returning. The story will continue the original Black Ops – and is said to offer multiple alternative endings.
Players are expected to have many decision-making options, from how to approach a mission to the individual responses they can choose. There will also be side missions apart from the main story. Whether or not to engage in these will likely influence the ending. In the campaign, players should also be able to create their own character.
8:17 PM: Pre-orders are now possible on PS4 as well. Both versions of Black Ops Cold War are available along with a cross-gen bundle. This offers an upgrade to PS5 for an additional 10 euros. The Ultimate Edition also includes the upgrade.

8:15 PM: There seems to be a partnership with PlayStation. At least the early access to the open beta is advertised with “First on PS4”. The announcement mentions “at least 5 days in advance”. Moreover, only digital pre-orders will grant access to the beta.
8:08 PM: The content earned so far in Warzone should also be transferable to the Cold War seasons of Warzone. This applies to operators and weapon blueprints as well.
8:03 PM: Black Ops Cold War is expected to retain the Battle Pass system that exists in Modern Warfare. It is included directly in the Ultimate Edition, just like the land, water, & air package:
8:00 PM: Further information about the game is now available. The game will offer cross-play and cross-generation play across all platforms – including the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X. Player progress will also be carried over across all platforms.
