The beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is just around the corner and, as always, shooter fans want to jump in as soon as the test starts. We show you a method to get started 2 days earlier without pre-ordering the game.
When does the beta start? The beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has two dates: First, pre-order customers can start on October 2, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Three days later, on October 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM, the open beta will commence, allowing every interested shooter fan to test Black Ops 7. The beta ends on October 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM German time.
However, not everyone wants to pre-order the game or wait until the beta of Black Ops 7 is available for everyone to play. Therefore, there is a way for you to start with the pre-order customers – completely for free.
Free beta keys: Here’s how to get them for Black Ops 7
How do I get free keys? At CoD Next, you have the chance to gain free access to the beta of Black Ops 7. CoD: Next is a live show that takes place annually for the new Call of Duty. There, gameplay is shown, and the studio takes the time to demonstrate the new features of the upcoming shooter. You can follow the event in a stream on Twitch.
This year, CoD: Next will also take place on Twitch, and through Twitch Drops, you have the chance to secure a beta code for the pre-order beta. You need to watch the stream actively for 1 hour to receive a free key for early access.
When is CoD Next? The event starts at 6:00 PM German time on the official Twitch channel of Call of Duty. Make sure you have a Twitch account linked to your CoD account, or else the watched time will not be counted.
You can also run the stream in the background on your PC or mobile device. In the meantime, you can do homework, do laundry, or play games.
For which platforms are the beta keys? This is not officially known yet, but we are orienting ourselves on previous CoD releases, which also had such keys as drops. The code you receive on Twitch will likely be redeemable on the official Call of Duty website. From there, you should be able to decide for which platform your beta key will be generated.
What other rewards are there? In addition to early access to the beta, you can receive the following rewards through Twitch Drop:
