CoD Black Ops 6: XM4 Build – Here’s how you should play the all-rounder

The assault rifle XM4 is a strong choice for multiplayer in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which is available to you right from the start. We show you 2 builds that you can use to play the XM4.

What kind of weapon is this? The XM4 is available to you right when you start the game. Once you reach level 4, you also have access to your equipment and can customize it.

The XM4 is a strong choice for multiplayer at medium to long distances, especially when you don’t have other weapons available yet. Here we show you two builds that you can use to play the assault rifle.

CoD Black Ops 6: XM4 – Meta Build

What is this build? The XM4 is still considered one of the best weapons for multiplayer according to wzstats.gg. Below we present a setup that is regarded as a meta-build for the assault rifle (as of November 13, 2024).

• Optic: Kepler Microflex – unlock through AS VAL
• Muzzle: Suppressor – from level 11
• Barrel: Reinforced Barrel – from level 44
• Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip – from level 45
• Stock: Buffer Weight Stock – from level 1
• Grip: Quickdraw Grip – from level 2
• Fire Mod: Rapid Fire – from level 27
• Magazine: Extended Mag I – from level 7

Note that you need to equip the wildcard “Gunslinger” to use 8 attachments. Otherwise, you will be limited to 5. You will gain the wildcard at player level 33.

What makes the setup strong? The suppressor ensures that your position is not given away on the minimap with a shot. The reinforced barrel increases your firepower and improves bullet speed and damage range. Since you unlock the barrel only at weapon level 44, you can initially equip the progressive twist barrel or the long barrel.

The stock and grip increase recoil control. The grip also improves aim speed. The extended magazine increases your magazine size to 45 rounds. You can also choose even larger magazines, but you sacrifice speed. The “Kepler Microflex” sight has a particularly thin frame and thus hardly restricts your view.

If you plan to use a different wildcard, we recommend equipping the following 5 attachments from the loadout:

• Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
• Magazine: Extended Mag I
• Grip: Quickdraw Grip
• Stock: Buffer Weight Stock
• Fire Mod: Rapid Fire
