CoD: Black Ops 6 Travis Rilea – What does the error code mean and what can you do about it?

Players are currently plagued by an old problem in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: the error code “Travis Rilea.” What it’s about and what you can do about it, you can find out here on MeinMMO.

What does “Travis Rilea” mean? The error code “Travis Rilea” is an error related to connecting to the game. This specifically means that you cannot play Black Ops 6 because you cannot connect to the servers.

In the game, it states: “Connection failed: Timeout while signing in to online platform [Reason: TRAVIS-RILEA]”

There can be two reasons for this:

• There is a problem with the servers of Activision/the platform you are playing on
• There is a problem with your internet connection

This issue has also occurred in Modern Warfare 3 – and now it seems to be recurring regularly. Below we list some possible actions.

What can I do about “Travis Rilea”? The error is mainly due to the servers of the game or your platform and should not typically persist for long. If you are playing CoD via Steam, it may also happen that the error occurs when Steam is undergoing maintenance. This usually lasts around 20-30 minutes.

To rule out that the issue lies elsewhere and to make use of the waiting time, you can carry out the following steps:

• Restart the game: Restarting a game when there is a problem is always the first logical step. A little “CoD hiccup” could help.
• Restart the router: If the problem is with your internet connection, restarting the router could help.
• Check information sources: If it is an error that is widespread and currently affects many, you will surely find information on social media.
  • Sources include the accounts CallofDuty and CODUpdates, but also the Subreddit for Black Ops 6.
  • On the Activision website, you can check the server status of your platform.
• Take a break: If it is an issue on Activision’s part and/or you have already tried everything, use the time to take a break. Go outside for a bit, refill your drink, and stock up on snacks for the upcoming rounds.
