With Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Warzone also sees the return of Verdansk. However, a new season cannot only rely on the shoulders of one map, and there will also be new weapons, attachments, as well as maps and modes for the multiplayer of Black Ops 6. We show you what to expect.
Black Ops 6 Season 3: Release and Preload
When does Season 3 start? The release of Season 3 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is on April 2 at 18:00 German time. However, Call of Duty: Warzone will be offline for 24 hours starting April 2, before the Battle Royale is playable again on April 3 at 18:00.
When can you download Season 3? UPDATE, APRIL 2: According to player reports, the preload for Season 3 is available on Xbox (via Reddit). Pre-release content has also been downloaded on Battle.net.
Experience shows that the preload is available at least a few hours before the start of the season. So keep an eye out if you can’t download the season yet.

What new perks will there be?
- Close Shave (Launch, event reward, Enforcer perk-slot 1)
- Automatically use your dedicated melee attack when you perform an attack with your weapon stub.
- Vendeta (Mid-Season, event reward, Recon perk-slot 2)
- Mark your killer’s last known position for a short period upon respawning. You will receive a bonus point for eliminating this enemy.
New maps and modes in Black Ops 6 Season 3
What new modes are being added? With Season 3, two classic modes return to Call of Duty, which you can play for the first time in Black Ops 6.
- Sharpshooter
- A free-for-all mode where each player is equipped with the same loadout that changes every 45 seconds.
- Demolition
- You must alternately attack and defend two bomb sites. The attacking team must destroy both bomb sites to win the round. All attackers spawn with a bomb and respawns are active for both teams throughout the game.
What new maps does Season 3 bring? Black Ops 6 receives a total of 5 new maps in Season 3, as well as a new variant of an existing map.

Black Ops 6 also makes some changes to existing weapons in Season 3. Here are some of the highlights:
Goblin Mk2 (Rework)
- Increased rate of fire from 460 to 600 rpm
- ADS Speed improved – 230 ms instead of 240 ms
- Damage decreased – maximum damage 33 instead of 40
AS VAL (Buff)
- Improvement of movement speed – 4.8 m/s instead of 4.7 m/s
- Increase of maximum damage range – 19.1 m instead of 12.7 m
Jackal PDW (Nerf)
- Reduction of headshot multiplier – 1.24 instead of 1.27 (only in multiplayer)
- stronger recoil
- Better slide and dive-to-fire times
Shotguns – Dragon’s Breath (Buff)
- increased damage – 30 instead of 25
Buffs for DMRs
- DM-10 – Increased rate of fire from 300 to 333 rpm
- Tsarkov 7.62 – Increased rate of fire from 200 to 230 rpm
- AEK-973 – slightly reduced visual recoil
- TR2 – Increased rate of fire from 400 to 480 rpm; 40% less flinch
Movement
- The speed of going from crouch to standing will be increased by 15%
- The speed of going from crouch to standing while aiming through a sight will be increased by 39%
