For the multiplayer in Black Ops 6, there are some perks that give you an advantage in the game. This perk was initially too strong, was then nerfed by Treyarch, but is still very useful.
What kind of perk is this? If you equip three blue extras in your loadout, you will receive the combat specialty “Recon”. With this, you can see through walls and spot enemies after your respawn. However, of course, only for a limited time.

Perk is being nerfed a second time
In the patch from November 4, 2024, “Recon” was already nerfed for the first time. The time you could see enemies through walls was reduced from 2 seconds to 1.5. At the same time, Treyarch announced their intention to make another improvement to the perk.
In the latest patch notes from November 8, 2024, this announcement was fulfilled. The time was once again reduced, this time to 0.5 seconds.
How does this affect the perk? However, this time reduction does not really harm the perk itself. It is still incredibly advantageous to see enemies for a brief period.
Treyarch also states regarding the combat specialties that they will continue to analyze the data and take into account player feedback. This means that it is not unlikely that further changes will be made to this or other combat specialties if they are deemed too strong or weak.
If “Recon” turns out to be overpowered, as it was at the beginning, it is quite possible that Treyarch will remove the perk and replace it with something else.
