6 Days full of Easter Eggs and puzzles have now led to a new teaser for Call of Duty 2020. Here, for the first time, the name and the reveal date of the game are officially confirmed.
What’s the teaser all about? For a long time, there were only leaks and rumors, but in the last few days, things finally started to move around Call of Duty 2020.
What started with strange packages that some streamers received led over the last 6 days through numerous puzzles to a new teaser website and ultimately to the first trailer for the upcoming CoD installment.
The new teaser reveals about Call of Duty 2020
Even though the trailer initially appears like a historical film – it did offer a few solid details about the new CoD.
The official name: At the end of the trailer, the official name of the upcoming CoD 2020 was revealed. The new installment is officially called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
This has confirmed the Doritos leak. A planned promotional action had leaked there, where this name appeared.
The official reveal date: We now finally know when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will officially be revealed. The reveal will take place worldwide on August 26, which is already next week.
And many have been eagerly waiting for this. Because no “Call of Duty” installment has been revealed as late as the new CoD 2020.
Also interesting – the potential reveal location: It is now apparently also known where the reveal will take place. Numerous fans, players, and experts have speculated that the reveal could happen in the Warzone or at least be closely related to it.
And it looks like it could really happen that way. Because the trailer named “Know your History” was shared on the official YouTube channel of Call of Duty. And in the video description, it says among other things “Verdansk. August 26”.
Verdansk is a fictional city from the Modern Warfare universe, on which the Battle Royale map Call of Duty: Warzone is based. Verdansk is thus the game world of Warzone. This is the first official hint that the reveal will apparently take place there. When exactly (time) and in what form (possible in-game event), is still officially unknown.
