After two hard defeats, the coaches of Schalke 04 ask for forgiveness for their LoL team. The performance over the weekend in the League of Legends was a complete disgrace. Currently, the team is in second-to-last place in the EU LCS – a playoff ticket seems far away.
The coaching team of Schalke’s LoL team reaches out to the fans on Twitter and Facebook with an apology. The weekend was not just disappointing, but a complete disgrace. If this is what you bring to the stage after 7 weeks, you have failed.
The coaches must take responsibility here: it cannot continue like this.
With this, the coaches send a signal after a tough weekend.
Two defeats caused the LoL team to drop in the standings. With only 5 wins from 14 matches, they are in 9th place, which is the second-to-last place in the European LoL league. Hopes for a playoff ticket have thus been dampened. Only the top 6 teams advance.
Although the playoff spots are only one win away, things were expected to be different in Schalke.

Strong start in League of Legends, weakened significantly
The LoL specialists from Korea at the gaming site Inven have issued a sad testimony about Schalke. Schalke had signed a number of high-profile talents that should have the potential to easily make it to the playoffs. However, the team remained below expectations.
After a strong start, the team disappointed: They achieved only one win from the last 6 games. This has put Schalke in a difficult position to still reach the playoffs.
With a tough remaining schedule, Schalke only has a small chance to advance to 6th place and thus to the playoffs. Schalke still has to face the league leader Fnatic and the second-placed G2 Esports.

Staying Power in Schalke – Blue Collar Identity
Even though the coaches have apologized for their team’s performance, they have started to adopt a different tone in Royal Blue. They seem to be recalling their fighter mentality.
After the defeats against Team Vitality and the Unicorns of Love, Schalke is issuing staying power slogans. They say: “We have only lost when we give up on ourselves.”
And “giving up” – that is not FC Schalke 04. They will fight until the last game. The next two weekends will decide whether Royal Blue can bounce back.
