What kind of game is this? Gangs of Sherwood is a cooperative game for 1 to 4 players that takes you to the city of Nottingham and lets you experience the legend of Robin Hood and his crew for yourself.
However, the game promises a unique twist, because in addition to the classic medieval setting, you can expect more modern technology and magic.
When is it released? The game will be released on November 11, 2023, on PS5, PC, and Xbox.

What does the trailer show? You shouldn’t expect gameplay in the current trailer. Instead, a minstrel delivers the backstory and gives you an idea of how it differs from the legend.
The trailer is set in the likely poor district of the city and shows a minstrel who tells you the story of Nottingham with his puppet theater. One day, King Richard returned from his campaigns with a powerful stone – the Lionheart
– which granted him great power, made the rich richer, and was the foundation for more modern technology.
But as often happens with powerful things, there are usually villains who would like to have them for themselves. So the Sheriff of Nottingham took control of the stone and now rules as a tyrant over the people. Under his rule, especially the poor of the city suffer.
Face the fight against a tyrannical ruler
Ultimately, the minstrel urges his audience and you to confront the tyrannical ruler in battle. During his rousing speech, the sheriff’s soldiers appear and capture the minstrel.
Soon after, the trailer shows a wanted poster for Robin Hood lying on the ground. Ultimately, you hear the famous words: Taking from the rich to give to the poor.
