Testers can now participate in the Closed Alpha of Ubisoft’s “The Crew 2“. The testing phase is active for several days, but confidentiality is required.
In an email, the team from The Crew 2 invited selected testers of the upcoming racing game yesterday, on March 13th. In Ubisoft’s new title, you can race on land, water, and in the air. The current testing phase is active until early next week.
The Crew 2 – PC Closed Alpha in March
The email explains that this testing phase is subject to a confidentiality agreement. Screenshots and videos from this alpha may not be shared with the public. We will have to wait for new insights into the game until there is a testing phase without an NDA.
The alpha is intended to test the infrastructure and gather further feedback about the game. In the past, tests with fewer players have already taken place.
According to initial reports, the current testing phase is only for Uplay, that is, PC players. The alpha phase is active from March 14 to March 19.
It sounds like testers will have access to the entire map and various races with boats, planes, and cars during the test.
Originally, The Crew 2 was supposed to be released on March 16, 2018, but that release was postponed without a specific replacement date. Theoretically, this allows for a release starting in April 2018. The racing game will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Due to this closed alpha, players in the community suspect that an open beta is now not far away. However, there has been no official statement on this yet.
