Clone of League of Legends launches soon in Europe – Already has 100 million players

In June, the mobile League of Legends clone Honor of Kings will be launched in Europe among other regions. We explain what the game is about and why you should register now.

What kind of game is this? Honor of Kings will be released on June 20, 2024, for mobile devices. After the game was initially launched in China in 2015, it is now coming to Europe, the USA, Japan, and other regions.

The game, which is considered a mobile League of Legends, is already very popular and boasts 200 million registered players and 100 million daily players.

You can already pre-register for the game. If you do, you can look forward to some rewards at launch.

Riot declined, Tencent developed it themselves

In 2011, Riot Games, the developer studio of League of Legends, was acquired by Tencent. Tencent inquired about a mobile version of League of Legends, which Riot Games declined, stating that mobile devices are not suitable for the League of Legends experience.

Subsequently, Tencent developed Honor of Kings in 2015, a League of Legends-like MOBA for mobile devices, which became a big hit. In 2020, Riot Games eventually released a mobile League of Legends titled League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Now, the global rollout marks the next step in the history of Honor of Kings.

Pre-registration started, offers rewards at launch

You can now pre-register for the release on June 20, 2024, on the page of Honor of Kings. Currently, registration is available via Google Play and Email. Registration in the App Store is not yet active.

If you pre-register, you can look forward to the following rewards at the launch of the game:

• Hero Ying with skin Crimson Tassel Ying
• 500 Diamonds
• 2,000 Arcana Fragments
• 5,000 Starstones
• 20 All Heroes Trial Cards

You can claim the rewards in your mailbox in the game.

With the Diamonds, you can buy special items in the game or Arcana. These are elements that allow you to improve the attributes of your heroes. You can also use Arcana Fragments for this purpose.

You can use the Starstones to buy new heroes. Additionally, you can use Starstones to perform Arcana upgrades.

With the All Heroes Trial Cards, you can unlock all available heroes for a certain time and test them to find out which heroes you like best.

Known modes and high-profile composers

The game features several genre-typical game modes. Besides the classic 5 vs 5, you can also jump into the fray in the modes 1 vs 1, 3 vs 3, Boot Camp, and AI Simulation.
