Although he has a greater presence on YouTube at least on paper, the 33-year-old no longer wants to create elaborate content for the video platform and prefers to stream full-time on Twitch. In a video, he explains why.
Many of the most well-known German streamers started with YouTube before they moved their content to Twitch. Nowadays, only stream highlights often land on YouTube.
Kalle is quitting YouTube – or is he?
This is how it goes on for the content creator: In a video from January 7, 2024, Kalle talks about his “New Year’s resolution” to work as a full-time streamer. Streaming has become his great passion over the past few years, and he is excited about the interactions with the chat.
For his YouTube channels, this means that mainly compilations from the livestreams should end up there from now on. For many larger German Twitch streamers, this is already commonplace, but Kalle had previously produced additional content for YouTube alongside his streams.
This separation, however, has led him to feel that he never quite knew what to do when, according to the 33-year-old. He made plans repeatedly and then discarded them again, which was very frustrating for him. Thus, apart from already planned projects, there will probably be no more self-produced content on YouTube for the time being.
The video is titled “I am quitting.”, in the thumbnail – as can be seen here – the word “End” is prominently displayed. All this seems to create the impression that Kalle Koschinsky is completely withdrawing from the influencer life or at least completely quitting YouTube.
This little deception seems to be quite intentional and meant as a meta-commentary. Because as the content creator writes under his video, clickbait has now become part of “YouTube everyday life”. He never wanted to participate in that. The 33-year-old sees this as confirmation that the focus on Twitch is the right choice for him.
However, some viewers have also expressed concern in the comments under the YouTube video. Going live 7 days a week is a lot. The content creator should take care of his health and also take a weekend off, it says. In fact, Kalle Koschinsky took a break from social media in 2022, which made him feel exhausted.
