What is hero equipment? Hero equipment is a feature in Clash of Clans that allows you to customize your heroes individually. Through equipment, heroes gain abilities that can be both active and passive in nature.
Each of the four available heroes has its own hero equipment. There are both common hero equipment and epic equipment.
How many hero equipment can a hero wear? Each hero can wear two hero equipment at the same time.

Difference between common and epic hero equipment
How do I get common hero equipment? You can obtain common hero equipment in the blacksmith. This is a building that you can build starting from Town Hall level 8. Here, you can upgrade the hero equipment and adjust the abilities of the heroes accordingly.
The higher the level of your blacksmith, the more hero equipment you unlock.
How do I get epic hero equipment? To obtain epic hero equipment, you must wait for special events in Clash of Clans. After the events have passed, you can also find epic hero equipment with some luck in the trader’s weekly offers.
Maximum level of hero equipment
What is the maximum level for hero equipment? Common hero equipment can be upgraded to a maximum of level 18. Epic hero equipment can even be upgraded to level 27.
How can I increase the level of hero equipment? To upgrade your hero equipment, your blacksmith must be leveled up accordingly. Additionally, you will need resources in the form of ores.
There are three different ores required for upgrading hero equipment:
- Shiny ore: for common and epic equipment
- Glimmer ore: for common and epic equipment
- Star ore: for certain levels of epic equipment
There are four potential sources for obtaining ores. These are the Home Village Star bonus, Clan Wars, the trader, and the shop.

If a hero equipment is only available starting from a higher level of the blacksmith, that is also the required level to level up the equipment. This applies until the entry in the table is higher than the required blacksmith level to unlock the equipment.
