Civilization Online is a quirky mix of real-time strategy and MMO elements. Currently, the game is facing the open beta in South Korea, so practically before the soft release. Last week, the developers of XLGames and the publisher 2kGames made some deals to release the game beyond South Korea.
Thus, Civilization Online is set to appear in other Asian markets like China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Macau.
Some MMO sites see this as a sign that Civilization Online could eventually make its way to the West. However, there are no concrete plans at the moment.
