Citadel: Forged with Fire receives endgame content – but currently, hardly anyone plays the MMO.
The survival MMO Citadel: Forged with Fire had a strong launch this July. Almost 1,400 players were simultaneously active in the early access version. However, by September, the player count had drastically plummeted. Currently, according to Steamcharts, only about 99 players are online at the same time.

The focus is missing
If you look at the reviews on Steam, they are mixed. Overall, the sandbox feeling that the MMO creates at the beginning is praised. However, many players agree that the focus is missing. At some point, the game loses its way and there are hardly any goals left to achieve. Additionally, many feel that the developers do not know where the journey should lead at all.

Endgame content aims to bring players back
A new endgame content for the MMO has been announced, and it might just bring what many players are currently missing. Three new dungeons will soon be added to the game, which offer significant challenges. Only high-level players should venture into the dungeons in groups. However, you must first find the three soul stones scattered throughout the world. These contain the essences of an evil power. When you find and repair the stones, the dungeons will open up and reveal the secrets that await there.
Currently, it is not yet clear when the update will be released. It will show whether it can reignite interest in Citadel: Forged with Fire and motivate players in the long term. As it stands, the MMO could be forgotten before it even officially launches.
