Chronicles of Elyria: Playing instead of paying – Fighting and aging in the video

Chronicles of Elyria is aimed at a slightly older audience. Gamers who grew up with MMORPGs and want a hardcore gaming experience. One of them is called “Bolstering.” If you are in a group of players who have higher levels and better skills than you, you will be boosted. As long as you are active in this group, your abilities are accordingly increased, so that you are always a valuable member of a party, even if you otherwise have little time to improve your character.

Buy a new life with Story Points – “Earn to play”

Those who are online a lot can earn Story Points. These represent a type of achievement, which you receive when you complete important quests. Additionally, those who have accumulated a lot of fame in Chronicles of Elyria can get more Story Points. These points can be used to buy a new life. Normally, you buy “Sparks of Life” for real money when your character dies. Instead of money, you can use the collected Story Points.

The developers refer to the model as “Earn to play” and emphasize that time and money are two resources that should be considered “interchangeable”.

In two new videos, the developers of the MMORPG Chronicles of Elyria also show how the aging process works and what the battles look like, which play out quite actively and quickly and resemble a dance.
