To celebrate the opening of the new store, Soulbound presents a first look at the vibrant game world of Chronicles of Elyria.
In May, Soulbound Studios launched their Kickstarter campaign for their sandbox MMO Chronicles of Elyria, which successfully concluded with around 1.4 million dollars. According to the team, this “seed money” will be used to develop a prototype to attract further investors for the game. This is a typical approach, not just for small studios but for almost all startup companies.
However, the developers assure that they already have plans for funding through additional investments and they are confident that they could create the game even without further funding from players if it came to that. However, every Euro contributed by players reduces the need to rely on external financiers, thus relieving pressure from the developers.

New video shows a vibrant world
And so that players know what they are spending their money on, the developers have created a sequel to their Titans Steppe video, which now shows the northern, forested part of the landscape.
The textures and animations clearly show their pre-alpha status and according to the team, these are still placeholders. Nevertheless, the atmosphere and design of the world already inspire a desire to dive into the world of Elyria.

Together with Elyria.de, the German fan site for Chronicles of Elyria, we will soon conduct the first CoE interview in German-speaking regions with Jeromy “Caspian” Walsh.
The first part of the questions will be of a general nature, so players who have never heard of the game can get an impression of it. The last part of the questions, however, we want to leave to you, our community.
Therefore, we ask you to post your burning questions in the comments. Multiple questions per person are not only allowed but explicitly encouraged.
We will then make a pre-selection in the coming days and pass these on to Caspian, so that he can answer a handful of them. Which and how many this will be is up to him. So go ahead!
