Besides the anime and manga, there are still some projects related to One Piece. Be it a live-action series or LEGO, the pirates are now a significant part of culture. It’s no wonder it was just a matter of time before one of the Straw Hats lands in the real world.
Which Straw Hat pirate escapes to the real world? As the official X account for One Piece states, the team is launching a new project centered around Chopper. This little reindeer will appear in this project in the real world, living among us.
The account doesn’t reveal how Chopper has escaped from the pirate world. However, there is already an official page, an X account, and an Instagram profile where we can follow Chopper’s daily adventures.
Chopper lands in the real world
What happens in this project? The accounts are supposed to showcase Chopper’s daily life. The profiles will likely feature images of Chopper visiting real-life locations.
Additionally, Chopper engages in real activities:
- In one picture, Chopper trudges through a train, presumably looking for a seat.
- Another picture shows him shaping small balls out of a dough roll. Unfortunately, it’s unclear whether they are mochi or his Rumble Balls.
- In yet another picture, Chopper even has a smartphone and is posting something on one of his channels.
As the official page reveals, the adventures surrounding Chopper will be rather calm, the complete opposite of One Piece. He will spend his time relaxing or going out. While there are supposed to be exciting and sad moments, in comparison to the action-packed battles, Chopper appears to be quite cozy.
Those who wish can follow Chopper’s adventures by following him on X or Instagram. So far, the Straw Hat pirate has about 15,000 followers (as of March 15, 2025, at 9:00 AM).
There probably won’t be a “real” Chopper, like he appears in the Netflix series. So far, all the pictures have been drawn. Compared to the manga and anime, Chopper looks even cuter due to the scribbly outline.
What could follow? Chopper’s adventures are initially set to unfold as individual comic posts. Whether there will be an anime based on Chopper’s adventures or even merchandise is still unknown.
If there is no anime, fans need not be sad. After all, a remake of the anime is currently in the works. It even has its own unique art style, much like the Chopper project: A new remake of One Piece for Netflix shows first images and reveals how long the series is set to run
