In Call of Duty: Warzone there is a simple and very mean trick to easily get kills. A streamer shows this in a spectacular way and gets 13 kills in just a few seconds right at the beginning of the game. How he did it, you can find out here on MeinMMO.
What did the streamer do? The Twitch streamer OPMarked managed to snag 13 kills in a short time in a round of Call of Duty: Warzone in a sneaky way. He grabbed a helicopter and flew to a specific location on the map.
There, he mowed down an entire group of players with the rotor blades who were standing around helplessly. In just a few seconds, he got 13 kills this way and was quite vocal about his excitement.
AFK players almost always appear and are easy targets
How did he find the victims and why did they do nothing? The players were all grouped together and found at the edge of the map, where they were idly hanging around. This was because all the players were AFK. We are embedding the very satisfying video here:
In CoD Warzone, you jump out of a flying vehicle – like in most battle royale games – and glide to your chosen landing spot.
However, if you just sit idly in the plane, you will be kicked out at the end of the flight path at the edge of the map and slowly glide down because the parachute will eventually deploy automatically, unless you disable that in the settings.
Since in a lobby of 150 players, there is almost always someone AFK – whether due to sudden real-life distractions or technical problems – there are likely to be AFK victims at the end of the flight path of the starting plane that you can farm for easy kills.
How to replicate this trick? If you also want to snag free kills at the start of the Warzone game, you need a bit of luck and good timing. When the round starts, you can easily see which line the starting plane is traveling across the map. The edge point on the map is therefore the place where the AFK victims will fall out of the plane.
To quickly kill them, you ideally need a helicopter, as this is the only way to reach the spot quickly and return. Additionally, the rotor blades help in quickly killing the AFK players.
So make sure to find the next helicopter spawn near the landing point of your victims and take off immediately. A bit of luck and skill is required here, as many Warzone experts have specialized in quickly hijacking a helicopter.
However, you can also simply exit alongside the AFK players at the edge of the map and finish them off with a few hits. However, there is a risk that someone might “wake up”.
Isn’t that totally unfair? Of course, farming helpless opponents is not particularly honorable. On the other hand, players who go AFK during a round are also somewhat to blame when they get shot in the game.
And those who are temporarily forced AFK due to technical problems will likely have a massive disadvantage when landing at the edge of the map and find no good loot around if they manage to get back into the game.
Moreover, the deadly gas that limits the play area in Warzone will quickly kill the AFK players anyway. Farming AFK players is also a technique that a Warzone player taught his dog.
