A legendary mount for a legendary event
The legendary event: Final Fantasy XIV has an impressive history behind it. The first version 1.0 was released in 2010 and was a nightmare. The performance was terrible, and the landscape consisted of poorly copied assets. In 2013, the MMORPG had its major relaunch: A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy XIV.
Final Fantasy XIV shone in a new light and became one of the most successful MMORPGs. But what does all this have to do with a cool pet?
The legendary mount: The relaunch of Final Fantasy was a significant event, and one can call it a miracle that the MMORPG came out of its crisis. Players were able to create a legacy account during the 1.0 period, financially supporting the game. Those who joined with this legacy account during the server shutdown received a special Chocobo mount.
Legacy Chocobo in Final Fantasy’s history: The writers of Final Fantasy XIV decided to incorporate the big server shutdown into the story. The moon Dalamud falls upon the world and destroys it. In the story, the characters of the players who were present are magically sent through time. In the future, they survive the catastrophe.
The Chocobo of these surviving characters flee into the forests after the catastrophe and search for their owners for five years. The surviving legacy characters now, just like the special legacy Chocobos, have a unique tattoo.
A special mount with a special story.
