In Call of Duty: Warzone cheating is still a topic, and even among professionals there is some uncertainty about whether one or the other pro player is using unfair aids. A pedal under the table plays a certain role.
Even though the anti-cheat system RICOCHET from Call of Duty: Warzone is celebrating successes – the cheating problem is not completely solved yet.
An important part of the system are therefore also the reports from players. This helps the system to identify conspicuous players and initiate an investigation.
But there are also tricks that make it difficult to recognize whether a player is cheating or not. And a pedal under the table is said to be a great help in this regard.
Pedal activates cheats when needed
Recently there was a controversial clip of a pro player who allegedly cheated during a tournament with a total prize pool of $100,000:
The community was divided: Is cheating happening here or not? The player in question has clearly stated his case on Twitter and is insisting on his innocence (via twitter.com).
The whole case has led to the topic of cheating receiving more attention in the community again. Also, because professional players are repeatedly part of the discussion.
Because with small tricks and special cheats, gameplay can be made to look as if one is not using an aimbot.
Especially insidious is a method using a “pedal”. The following clip shows how difficult it is to detect an aimbot and how well it works:
The pedal trick is not new, but it is currently making its rounds in the community. It shows how calculated some cheaters are and how important it is for them to continue their “hobby” unfairly.
For professional players, much more is at stake. But here, clarification is even more important and therefore controversial: Labeling someone as a cheater without being 100% sure jeopardizes the player’s status.
Another insidious method to hide cheats is “Silent Aim“. The weapon doesn’t even have to be aimed at the opponent, which prevents the “snap” effect when the aimbot targets a goal.
It’s a shame that as players we are confronted with such problems and cheaters. Unfortunately, there will always be cheaters who secure an unfair advantage when they have the chance.
But not everyone is as “skilled” as the pedal cheaters. Some are also overwhelmed by the anti-cheat system: Cheaters are desperate with CoD Warzone’s anti-cheat – “Opponents just disappear!”
