In Fortnite’s Battle Royale (PC, PS4, Xbox) cheaters are currently ruining the survival shooter for many. Frustration and disappointment are spreading among honest players.
It has only been two weeks since Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode was released. The free survival shooter from Epic Games has been well received and already has over 7 million players.

Reports of Cheaters are Increasing in the Community
Currently, many players are expressing their discontent about cheaters in community forums like Reddit. Players have also reported through our contact form about cheaters they frequently encounter in Fortnite’s Battle Royale. PC players are particularly affected.
These are the cheats that are frequently reported:
- Wall Hacks: This hack allows players to see others they shouldn’t be able to see. If opponents, for example, are behind a solid wall, the hacker can use the advantage of clear visibility and surprise the unsuspecting opponent.
- Aim Bots: This is a hack that gives players absolute precision. They consistently land perfect headshots.
- Secret Alliances: Fortnite’s Battle Royale has a single-player mode. Players have observed that groups have formed in single-player that team up to attack individual players.

Epic Games Issues Bans for Hackers – How the Ban System Works Remains a Secret
If players suspect that someone is cheating and/or using hacks, they can report these accounts. Epic Games has already taken action against some cheaters with the ban hammer.
Epic Games has stated in a “Developer Update” that they are currently working on the cheater problem. This applies to all Epic games and not just Fortnite’s Battle Royale.
However, the developers do not want to reveal any details about how Epic’s ban system works. They are worried that this would make it easier for hackers to come up with new cheats and hacks.
