You are playing the action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem in online mode and all your items or even your character are gone? No need to panic, there is help.
What is the current problem? Last Friday, February 14th, an issue was identified in the action RPG Wolcen. Players logged into online mode and noticed that all items and sometimes even the characters were missing.
This led to a server downtime, which lasted almost the entire weekend. Now the servers have been back online since Sunday evening, February 16th. However, reports from players are once again piling up that their characters and items are disappearing.
Players are frustrated
How are players reacting? Naturally, criticism is pouring in. Even though the player count for Wolcen is very high, some players are showing frustration over the issues such as item exploits and are expressing their frustration in the Steam forums.
- k007m0d33 writes on Steam: “I just lost a few items in the second tab of the stash and now have to buy this second tab again… My stash was also reset when I finished Act 2.”
- Mihari explains: “Yesterday, after logging in multiple times, I had an empty stash. Then I played with a new, unlocked stash and put some items in. This morning I got my old stash back and all my new items are gone.”
Why are items disappearing again? The developers explain that the heroes and items are not gone. The issue is that the database does not always correctly output the items.
How to get your items back
Is there a way to recover the items and characters? The team behind the action RPG explains on Twitter what you need to do to get your items and heroes back:
If you log into online mode and notice that something is missing, then log out and back in. If that does not have the desired effect, then exit the game and log back in.
You may need several attempts until all your items are back. However, they should definitely reappear. According to the developers, nothing will be deleted.
Have you also experienced the problem with disappearing characters and items? Did the developers’ tip help you?
