What happens during server downtime? The servers will be shut down. During this time you cannot play Fortnite.
Server downtime in Fortnite – when? The servers will be shut down on February 21, 2025, at 8 AM. As usual, matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior.
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the duration of the downtime. This is a somewhat larger patch meant to ring in the new season. So be prepared that you might not be able to play for 1-3 hours.
When will patch notes be released? Epic Games only sporadically presents patch notes for updates now, usually after the downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.

What can I expect with the upcoming update? The update will give Fortnite a fresh coat of paint again. You can expect the following things after the release:
