The field upgrade “Stopping Power Rounds” is popular in Call of Duty: Warzone because it increases your weapon’s damage. However, it also has a major drawback, as a video on YouTube shows.
What does Stopping Power do? Stopping Power Rounds is a field upgrade that you can collect throughout the game and, when used correctly, can provide a decisive advantage.
When you use it, your weapon is loaded with new ammunition, which can add up to 30 rounds (depending on the magazine) that deal additional damage. This allows you to kill opponents faster than normal.
What is not mentioned in the description of the field upgrade is the fact that the weapon becomes less accurate because of the ammunition. The additional damage apparently also causes more movement with the weapon, as the video from YouTuber JGOD shows:
Why is this a problem? If you want to take out your opponent in CoD Warzone, you first need to hit them. However, as seen clearly in the video, the individual shots are much further apart, and the weapons pull up more strongly.
However, stable weapons are very strong and popular in Warzone. With some assault rifles, you can even counter snipers and take out enemies at 100m or more.

All weapons pull, but some don’t mind
Which weapons are affected? The video from JGOD features several weapons used, including the Bruen MK9 and the P90. It seems that all are affected by the additional pull of the weapon.
Especially in situations where you are engaged in a fight over longer distances, it might be wiser to forgo the bonus of Stopping Power.
When is the field upgrade strong? In “close combat situations,” where the opponent is hardly missable, the field upgrade is strong because the additional damage can quickly decide a direct duel. Especially shotguns and SMGs find Stopping Power useful.
Moreover, the field equipment is usually more of an upgrade than a downgrade. But if you want to play the perfect matches, especially in the upcoming Season 5, you should not blindly rely on Stopping Power, but use it very deliberately. This includes knowing that the weapons pull more with the ammunition.
