Call of Duty inspires auction house speculators in World of Warcraft and also the price of the WoW token. We reveal how this is connected.
World of Warcraft and Call of Duty shouldn’t actually have much to do with each other, apart from both being published by Activision Blizzard. However, some players found that they could log into Call of Duty – using their Battle.net login credentials!
This has led to much speculation and the assumption that the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will soon be integrated into the Battle.net launcher. In the past, Destiny 2 was also brought onto Blizzard’s platform, which ensured that the MMO shooter even came into the view of Blizzard fans.
Call of Duty in Battle.net could affect WoW token
If Call of Duty is really integrated into the Battle.net software, it would have another effect: The game and in-game purchases could be paid for with Battle.net balance.
This would mean that gold from World of Warcraft can be exchanged for credit, which can then be used to purchase Call of Duty or acquire loot boxes.
Fans speculate on an increase in the gold prices of the WoW token. Currently, the price of the WoW token in Europe is around 300,000 gold.
After major announcements, the price of the WoW token usually rises sharply by up to 25% – due to increased demand.
Anyone currently owning a WoW token and wishing to sell it might want to wait a few more days and see if there’s an official announcement from Activision Blizzard regarding this matter.
Players should also perhaps hurry when purchasing WoW tokens if they intend to use them to pay their subscription fees. Because the gold price could rise sharply in just a few hours.
Until there is an official announcement, this is of course pure speculation – but this is exactly how one has made most of their gold in WoW for years.
Professions in Battle for Azeroth only go up to level 100 – what this is all about, we reveal here.
