Campers are not exactly the most popular player species in Call of Duty: Warzone. But a funny squad went viral with a video showing camping from a very different, more enjoyable side.
Camping is a normal and strong tactic in a battle royale like Call of Duty: Warzone. You can use it to bridge some time in the match, lure opponents into a trap, or simply wait for your teammates to return from the restroom. Camping has already been a tradition in Call of Duty.
But it has also been a tradition in CoD to hate campers. They constantly sit in their dark spots and wait for a helpless player to come around the corner. As an aggressive player, you may have graphical advantages – but a professional camper is not stopped by milliseconds and bad weather.
A new video now shows a camper squad that you can’t really be angry at. Despite their obvious camping moves, the video went viral and was viewed nearly 1 million times on Twitter (as of June 28 / 9:00 AM). You just see 4 players having fun.

What does it look like? The video of the action was uploaded by the Twitter account “@whyGee_Ayce”. We embed the nice campers here:
What can be seen? The team has made themselves comfortable at the top of the airport tower and are camping the building in the northwest of Verdansk. One teammate of the squad has picked up a “Most Wanted” contract and apparently the team has spotted opponents below in the tower hoping for an easy kill.
But instead of waiting with loaded weapons for the enemies in front of the elevator with the zipline, the video creator suggests settling the fight with bare fists.
Amid loud laughter, all teammates throw their weapons out of their inventory. Even the sniper, who is lurking for long-range kills at the top of the tower, comes down the stairs to join in on the fun.
After a moment of silence, an unsuspecting soldier actually comes up the zipline and is likely to receive the beating of his life. Motivated by the battle cry “Beat his Ass”, the entire team enthusiastically beats the poor opponent. Communication in the enemy team didn’t quite work out either – because a second enemy takes the lethal path up and the celebrating camper squad beats him to a pulp as well.
Technically, it may not have been the greatest achievement. But the squad demonstrates how good communication can lead to a much better gaming experience and why voice chat is so important in games.

What do the players say about it? The clip has made quite a round on Twitter and is very well received. Nearly 1 million views and over 90,000 likes show its popularity. The comments are overwhelmingly positive, and many are carried away by the laughter and fun of the squad in the clip.
