The MMORPG Camelot Unchained is currently in development and gearing up for its first beta. What you should know if you want to play Beta 1 has been summarized for you.
Camelot Unchained Beta starts on July 4: The development of Camelot Unchained is progressing. After two alphas, the first beta will be released on July 4 for supporters. Anyone who pre-orders the game for at least $60 can participate.
In Beta 1, the “Non Disclosure Agreement” will be lifted. Content can therefore be shown, published, and streamed.
Before you buy the beta, consider …
Many impressions from the community that has been able to play and will continue to play are being incorporated into the development of Camelot Unchained. The developers frequently ask for feedback. You should know the following things before purchasing the game now.
This is what Camelot Unchained is about
Camelot Unchained is a PVP-oriented MMORPG where three factions (Realms) are at war with each other. PvP is omnipresent and can be found in the open world – there are no specific “battlefields”.
You can work as a trader or craftsman. However, the focus is on the war of the factions. Everything you do is supposed to strengthen your realm’s war efforts.
The beta is for testing, not for hype
Beta 1 is primarily intended to test Camelot Unchained, not to market the finished game. If you are not interested in the development of the game, the current state will not make sense to you.
As City State Games has already announced, the beta will really be a test and not an early access so that people can play earlier. Players are expected to find bugs, test the game, and suggest improvements.
Only bare gameplay
In Beta 1 of Camelot Unchained, you will primarily be able to test the gameplay elements of the game. You can create and play characters, but mainly test the features.
Beta 1 is meant to determine which gameplay elements will remain in the game and which will be removed. Do not expect all elements to stay the same until Beta 4.
Specific tests on the servers
The servers for Beta 1 will primarily be online on weekends and also at specific times. You likely will not be able to play continuously and if you do, it may not be stable.
During the online times of the servers, specific gameplay elements will be available. The goal is to extensively test the gameplay so that bugs can be fixed. The structure may feel like a series of “minigames” that you play on weekends.
While the servers are offline, you can test your areas in the “Camelot Unchained Building Environment”.
Unfinished graphics
The focus in the upcoming first beta is primarily on the gameplay of Camelot Unchained. The game does not visually impress much yet. The graphics of the beta do not yet match what Camelot Unchained is supposed to be.
In particular, some textures may be missing or animations may not run smoothly. You will likely not receive a “pretty” game yet.
Tips for buying Camelot Unchained
If you are interested in Camelot Unchained, you can pre-order the game. The developers offer various packages that can also be upgraded. However, they are limited and not always available in the shop.
