The first beta phase of the MMORPG Camelot Unchained is coming soon. However, it is not yet time.
Mark Jacobs, the creative mind behind the MMO, announced that all mechanics related to the various classes in the game are now integrated, although they are not fully functional yet. At this point, this is currently the bottleneck for transitioning into Beta 1. However, progress is being made steadily, even if it is slow.
The game is making progress
This progress includes placeable items in the world, the group system, and visual improvements to the game world. Newly added is the race of the Picts, and work is being done on the sound effects for the world. Additionally, Mark Jacobs spoke about the siege system. Siege machines will be introduced, modeled after those from real-world history. However, the “craziness” expected from a Camelot Unchained MMORPG will not be overlooked.
This should lead to very fun and tactical siege battles.
Exciting siege battles
In the game and during sieges, a system called “no mirrored classes” is employed. This means that there won’t be a corresponding counter class for every class just to maintain balance. This will also affect the siege system. Not every siege weapon will have an equally strong counterpart.
Moreover, siege weapons will function differently from typical MMO combat. Exactly how remains undisclosed by Mark Jacobs. However, don’t expect to just stand at a catapult and repeatedly press 1,2,3,4,5.
When the Beta 1 of the MMORPG Camelot Unchained will start is still not determined.
