Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available in various editions. One of them, the “Dark Edition”, was leaked by the US store GameStop. However, the contents are still unclear. This does not stop fans from speculating.
What editions of Modern Warfare are there? According to the US store GameStop, they have two physical editions of Modern Warfare: The standard version and the special Precise Edition for 100 dollars are already listed, and for a short time, there was also a more expensive Dark Edition for 200 US dollars. Both Special Editions are said to be exclusive to GameStop.
However, the Dark Edition quickly disappeared from the selection. Nevertheless, the incident was caught by fans, and since then, people have been wondering what could possibly be in a 200-dollar edition of Call of Duty.

Shamefully Expensive Dark Edition Fuels Speculation
What could possibly be in the thick Dark Edition? The contents of the Dark Edition are unknown, but at least we know what is included in the Precise Edition, which costs 100 dollars. It includes:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
- Collectible Steelbook
- KontrolFreek Modern Warfare Performance Thumbsticks
- KontrolFreek Modern Warfare Controller Skin

Additionally, there is the Operator Pack with digital items:
- 3 Weapon Skins
- 3 Operator Skins
- Additional Bonus Items
- Custom In-Game Tactical Knife
- Call of Duty Endowment C.O.D.E. Calling Card

Since the Precise Edition targets physical items for precise controllers, fans on Reddit now suspect that the Dark Edition has a theme of darkness and light. They speculate, among other things, about physical items:
- A real night vision device, similar to what is supposed to be used in a particularly controversial mission
- A high-quality flashlight
- A stylish power bank in CoD design to avoid darkness
So much for the speculations about the Dark Edition. Would you buy it if you received a real night vision device?
