Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 system requirements – What kind of PC do I need?

MeinMMO presents the system requirements for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Here we show you what hardware you need if you want to play the new shooter in Full HD, WQHD, or even in 4K.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 System Requirements PC – Full HD, 1440p, and 4K

Minimum Requirements (720p, low settings):

• Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
• Processor (CPU): Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
• Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 / GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 470
• Memory (RAM): 8 GB
• Storage: 149 GB
• DirectX Version: 12

Recommended Requirements for high settings Full HD (1080p):

• Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
• Processor (CPU): Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
• Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti / RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT
• Memory (RAM): 16 GB
• Storage: 149 GB
• DirectX Version: 12

Recommended Requirements for 4K/Ultra:

• Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
• Processor (CPU): Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
• Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 / RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800XT
• Memory (RAM): 20 GB
• Storage: 149 GB
• DirectX Version: 12

What do the data mean? “Minimum Requirements” means that you can actually play the game at all. Often this means gaming in 720p (HD) at 30 FPS with low settings. So you shouldn’t expect too much.

After all, the minimum requirements are not that high, like the system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077. For Modern Warfare 3 (2023) you only need a GTX 1650 or an AMD Radeon RX 470. These GPUs are rather positioned in the entry-level segment. Even for the recommended settings, you do not need a graphics card for 1,000 Euros.
