With Call of Duty Mobile, the shooter classic has now come to Android and iOS. We provide you with an overview of download, game modes, and maps.
What is Call of Duty Mobile? This game was released today, on October 1st. It brings the Call of Duty series to your smartphones and allows you to experience multiplayer adventures on various maps.
The mobile game can also be played using a mouse and keyboard. You can then rank up in leaderboards and unlock popular characters from the CoD universe.
All about download, maps, and game modes
How can I play? You can download the app normally via the PlayStore for Android or the Apple Store for iOS. The game is free here. If you download it via the Apple Store, you must have at least iOS 9 or later versions.
What game modes are there? There are 5 modes that you can play on your smartphone. These include:
- Free for all: The classic match where everyone fights against everyone
- Frontline: Here you spawn in your team base and must eliminate opponents from the other team
- Team Deathmatch: The classic mode where you must eliminate players from the other team
- Hardpoint: You must take and hold the hardpoints to collect points
- Domination: Here positions must be taken to earn points
For each mode, there are also 3 different types of matches: Normal, Ranked, and Private. In Ranked mode, you can earn XP and unlock in-game items.
Another highlight is the Battle Royale mode that CoD Mobile offers. Here, up to 100 players can compete against each other simultaneously.
What maps are there? A total of 7 maps are available, which you may already know from other CoD titles. You can find all maps here:

What characters are there? A highlight of Call of Duty Mobile is that you can unlock characters that you already know from other titles.
So far, the characters David “Section” Mason and Alex Mason from Black Ops are known. From the Modern Warfare series, you can encounter Simon “Ghost” Riley, John “Soap” McTavish, and John Price.
